Otop Dti Program 2020

Kanvas was invited by DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) to join one of their programs called OTOP, short for One Town One Province. The program aims to support MSMEs in developing either their product or its packaging. Each company will collaborate with a designer to carry out the development process.

The product we created in collaboration with our designer and mentor, Mr. Rommel Viloria, is called the Interchangeable Tote Bag. The weaves inside are removable, it come in two different color options, allowing you to choose the color that best matches your mood each day. We used a traditional handwoven fabric called Hinabol. It’s handwoven in the province of Bukidnon, Cagayan.

Crafted from durable PVC fabric and accented with Hinabol, a traditional handwoven fabric from Mindanao, the Interchangeable Tote offers both style and function. Thanks to its versatile shape and thoughtful design, this tote serves as the ideal all-around companion—perfect for carrying travel essentials, functioning as an emergency bag, or handling your day-to-day errands with ease.
